Research Results

The research conducted by ELTE University, in collaboration with the project consortium, has yielded two significant publications that shed light on the mobility gap among students.

The first publication is a comprehensive research report that explores the macro, meso, and micro factors influencing the disparity between students who participate in mobility programs and those who do not. It highlights the need for higher education institutions to adapt to global trends, such as increasing internationalization and the effects of global crises, by enhancing mobility opportunities through academic networks, curriculum design, and resource allocation. Additionally, it underscores the importance of institutional characteristics and individual-level factors, including socioeconomic status, financial barriers, and peer influences, in shaping student mobility.

RESEARCH REPORT

The second publication focuses on the surveys conducted as part of the research, which serve as the foundation for an inclusivity self-assessment toolkit. This toolkit aims to provide a deeper understanding of how staff members at higher education institutions perceive the mobility gap, ultimately contributing to more equitable mobility opportunities for all students.
