National workshops

Five national workshops were held to raise awareness of the need to monitor bias in the mobile student population. These workshops, organized in the partners’ countries, also supported the review of the final policy recommendations by giving a voice to the stakeholders involved.

EOTVOS LORAND TUDOMANYEGYETEM (ELTE)

UNIVERSIDADE DO PORTO (UPORTO) - 7 April 2026

During the National workshop in UPORTO It was emphasised that improving inclusion in Erasmus+ requires a combination of increased funding, better institutional coordination, improved data collection, and the strategic use of the ErasmusGap tools. While financial support is essential, structural changes, more human resources, and respect for data protection regulations are equally critical to ensuring that mobility opportunities are genuinely accessible to all students. Participants were interested in the project and congratulated the team for working on such a relevant topic. The session concluded by disseminating information on the next events of the project and inviting all participants to follow the project’s next steps and to enrol in the project’s mailing list.

IVAN FRANKO NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF LVIV (IFNUL) - 6 April 2026

The National Workshop was held at Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in a hybrid format and brought together 31 participants. The Toolkit developed within the Erasmus+ GAP project was presented and received very positive feedback from attendees.

Participant feedback further confirmed the relevance and usability of the Toolkit. While some limitations were noted regarding the full applicability of certain components in the Ukrainian educational and legislative context, participants highlighted the Toolkit's high informational value, particularly for identifying barriers to inclusive academic mobility. Additionally, interest was expressed in integrating the Toolkit into the activities of the University’s Resource Centre for Inclusive Education. It was also noted that faculty-level staff responsible for mobility could use the Toolkit to enhance coordination of their activities and align them with European practices.

UNIVERSITE DE VERSAILLES SAINT QUENTIN (UVSQ)

12 February 2026 - Online

On February 12, 2026, an online workshop brought together around 30 participants from EUGLOH partner universities, representing various departments (international relations, inclusion, student support, university alliances). The main goal was to present the Erasmus GAP project and its Inclusivity Toolkit—a resource designed to assess and improve student mobility practices from an inclusion perspective. Participants explored partner institutions’ inclusion policies, learned about the project’s research framework (micro, meso, macro levels), and watched a demo of the toolkit. Discussions then focused on recommendations for inclusive mobility, emphasizing the need to combine institutional strategies and individual support to promote inclusive mobility.

10 April 2026 - In Person in Université de Versailles Saint Quentin

On April 10, 2026, a second national workshop took place in person at UVSQ, with participants from universities across France. The research findings and the inclusivity tool were presented to them, and their feedback on inclusivity in mobility was gathered. The discussions were highly engaging and highlighted key points, such as the challenges faced by staff and academics, as well as the importance of implementing improvements at all levels of the institution.
